This post explains how to resolve problems when trying to print from a Vista client to a printer attached to a Vista “server” PC that does not require a password to boot, the error “access denied” will appear on the client PC.
- Click Start
- Click “Control Panel”
- Click “User accounts”
- Click “Create a password for your account”
- Enter temporary password in both boxes, you do not need to type in a password hint. Click “Create password”
- You will be returned to the main “User accounts” screen. Click “Remove your password”
- Close the “User accounts” window.
